Art. 13 DSGVO on data protection processing in the application procedure

The Leibniz Institute for Surface Modification e.V. would like to inform you about which personal data are collected, from whom they are collected and for what purpose these data are used.
In addition, you will be informed about your rights in data protection matters, including whom you can contact in this regard.

1. responsible person, data protection officer and supervisory authority

The responsible party for data processing within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the IOM. Questions regarding data protection matters can be directed to the data protection officer of the IOM.

2. collection and processing of personal data

When sending application documents by mail or by e-mail, the following data required for the application process will be collected and stored electronically in accordance with Art. 6 (1) b) DSGVO:

- Personal data (surname, first name, address, date of birth).
- Communication data (telephone number, mobile phone number, e-mail address)
- Disability/equality
- Data on education and further training
- Data on previous professional career, training and work certificates
- Information on other qualifications
- Date of application

In the case of an application by e-mail, the documents sent with the application will also be stored.
Information about a severe disability is stored within the scope of Art. 9 Para. 2 b)
DSGVO in connection with § 164 SGB IX.

3. recipient (m/f/d)

Your data will be processed exclusively by the IOM and will not be passed on to third parties.

4. duration of data storage

The data will be deleted six months after completion of the specific application process.  This does not apply if there is a recruitment, or if legal provisions prevent deletion, or if further storage is necessary for the purpose of providing evidence, or if you have expressly consented to longer storage.

5 Right to information, revocation and deletion

You have the right to request information or correction of the data stored about you at the IOM at any time, as well as information about its origin, recipients (m/f/d) or categories of recipients to whom it is disclosed and the purpose of its storage. In addition, you have the right to data portability.

You may object to the use of your data for the aforementioned purposes at any time with effect for the future, as well as request the deletion or restriction of the processing of your data. If this happens before the procedure is completed, it may lead to the termination of the application procedure.

Data protection

The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. As far as on our sides personal data (such as name, address or e-mail addresses) are collected, this is as far as possible on a voluntary basis. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

We point out that data transmission over the Internet (eg communication by e-mail) security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

The use of contact data published within the framework of the imprint obligation by third parties for the purpose of sending unsolicited advertising and information materials is hereby expressly prohibited. Use of YouTube in extended data protection mode
We use the provider YouTube to embed videos. The videos were embedded in the extended data protection mode.
