Professional Training

The Leibniz Institute of Surface Engineering (IOM) offers professional training for the following professions:

  • Physical laboratory assistant (two professional training vacancies)
    Duration of training:  3½ years
    Required graduation: good middle school or Abitur (grammar school graduation)

  • Chemical laboratory assistant (two professional training vacancies)
    Duration of training: 3 ½ years

  • Industrial mechanic with final exam Abitur (grammar school graduation), two professional training vacancies

Internship

Students of universities and technical colleges can apply for an internship for the duration of two months or more, in accordance with their professional training.
The number of internship placements is limited.
