Status of compatibility with the requirements

The website of the Leibniz Institute for Surface Modification Leipzig is currently not optimized in all areas in accordance with the provisions of the Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV) due to the incompatibilities or exceptions listed below in accordance with the above-mentioned guidelines.

Not barrier-free contents

The following areas are not yet completely accessible:

  •  Media and text alternatives for videos
  •  Interactive map, podcasts, galleries and forms
  •  PDF documents

The content listed is not accessible for the following reasons:

  • Due to the large amount of older content and documents, there is sometimes a lack of capacity for a complete barrier-free revision.
  • If the costs are too high, appropriate considerations must be made (see Article 5 “Disproportionate burden” of Directive (EU) 2016/2102).
  • Various documents or applications have not yet been converted to an accessible format.

Measures to improve accessibility

We strive to achieve the highest possible degree of accessibility and are gradually working to improve it within the scope of our technical and organizational possibilities.
