Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees decides on all fundamental matters and determines the guidelines for the activities of the IOM.  The board of trustees includes representatives of the state and federal government as well as representatives and experts elected by the general meeting.

Scientific Advisory Board

The Scientific Advisory Board advises the Board of Trustees and the Executive Board on all scientific and structural issues of the Institute. It is independent in its advisory activities and develops proposals and recommendations on the research fields to be worked on by the association and on its work planning.

General Assembly

The General Assembly decides on amendments to the Articles of Association and elects a representative from among the members and an expert to the Board of Trustees. It appoints the expert auditor. The general Assembly takes place once a year. The general Assembly is composed of representatives of the Free State of Saxony and the Federal Republic of Germany as well as natural and legal persons.
