At this year's annual meeting of the Graduate School "Leipzig School of Natural Sciences - Building with Molecules and Nano-objects" (BuildMoNa), Ms. Astrid Kupferer, scientific researcher and PhD student at the Leibniz Institute of Surface Engineering (IOM) was awarded the 1st prize of the BuildMoNa Awards 2022. With this award, the Graduate School recognizes the PhD student for her special scientific achievement in the past year, namely for her outstanding publication "Compositional Patterning in Carbon Implanted Titania Nanotubes" in the scientific journal "Advanced Functional Materials" (DOI: https://doi.org/10.1002/adfm.202104250).
Congratulations!
Ms. Kupferer is doing research and PhD at IOM on the topic "Carbon implanted titania nanotubes" in the research area Biocompatible and Bioactive Surfaces / Biofunctional Surfaces and Nanoobjects and participates in the training program of the graduate school BuildMoNa of the University of Leipzig. Furthermore, she is committed to junior scientists and in academic teaching.
The annual meeting of the graduate school took place from March 14 to 15, 2022 in the Arthur-Hantzsch lecture hall of the Faculty of Chemistry and Mineralogy and is an important platform for interdisciplinary scientific exchange between PhD students and scientists.
