Abdur Rahman, research scientist and PhD in the field of research "Surfaces of Porous Membrane Filters" at IOM, has been elected as the PhD student representative of the MSCA Doctoral Network PhotoBrane during its kick-off meeting in Jena. In this role, he will serve as a contact point for doctoral researchers within the PhotoBrane consortium and support communication and exchange across the network.
PhotoBrane is a doctoral network funded by Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) which is a part of Horizon Europe, the MSCA are the European Union’s flagship funding programme for doctoral education and postdoctoral training of researchers. The network PhotoBrane gathers leading experts in membrane technology, dye chemistry, photoswitches, and computational chemistry from across Europe and beyond. Doctoral researchers will receive hands-on training in molecular modeling and gain valuable experience in synthesizing photoswitchable building blocks for molecular layers and phototunable membranes.
