With a unanimous decision, the inclusion of the IOM in the research network Leibniz Gesundheitstechnologien / Leibniz "Health Technologies" was decided at the partner meeting, on 30.06.2022 in Berlin. Thus, the research area "Biocompatible and Bioactive Surfaces" of the IOM expands the expertise of the research association, especially in the competence fields "Bioactive Materials" and "Point-of-Care Technologies". In addition, new and long-term collaborations as well as even stronger networking with partners in this field are opening up for the IOM.

Through targeted interdisciplinary collaboration between a wide range of scientific fields and partner companies, the members of the Leibniz Research Alliance develop concrete technology solutions for pressing medical issues, with the aim of translating research results into market-ready products to improve medical care for patients.
