The IOM is pleased to join the international M-ERA.NET project CARBONEX-S (“Sustainable Nanocellulose-Carbon Hybrid Electrodes for Advanced Flexible Supercapacitors”).
Together with leading research partners from Poland, Sweden and Brazil, the project aims to develop sustainable electrode materials based on nanocellulose-carbon hybrid structures for future flexible energy storage devices.
By contributing its expertise in advanced materials characterization and electrochemical analysis, the IOM research group "Switchable molecularly functionalized surfaces" will support the development of environmentally friendly energy technologies while further strengthening international scientific collaboration across Europe and beyond.
Projects such as CARBONEX-S demonstrate how international partnerships can accelerate innovation and help address key challenges in sustainability, advanced materials, and energy storage.
