Great heat and fewer passers-by than last year shaped this year’s JobCafé at Leipzig University. Nevertheless, lively discussions developed at the IOM Leipzig stand: With several banners, exhibits and posters, the institute had a highly visible presence and was one of the most frequently visited points of contact at the event.

Annemarie Finzel, Benedikt Bagemihl and Christian Laube presented selected IOM research topics on site and spoke with students about opportunities to enter scientific work. The discussions focused on questions relating to student assistant positions, internships, final theses and doctoral projects, as well as the institute’s research fields.

The vivid presentation offered visitors a concise insight into the work of the IOM – from current research priorities to potential career paths in a scientific environment.
