From June 24 to 27, the IOM was represented by employees from the “Ultra-Precision Surfaces” research division at LASER World of PHOTONICS in Munich — one of the world's leading trade fairs for the photonics industry. At the joint booth of CC UPOB e.V. (Competence Center for Ultra-Precision Surface Processing), which was available to member institutions, our researchers presented the diverse expertise of the IOM and engaged in intensive discussions with the expert audience.
“There was a great deal of interest in our stand. The discussions with the numerous interested visitors provided us with valuable input and opened up new contacts. It was also particularly exciting to see the innovations of other exhibitors,” said the IOM participants.
A total of 1,398 exhibitors from 41 countries presented their developments to around 44,000 visitors at the world's leading trade fair. This year's trend topics included secondary sources, integrated photonics, biophotonics, and the use of artificial intelligence.
