On the 9th of October the members of the PLASMA GERMANY committee and invited guests met at the Leibniz Institute for Surface Modification (IOM) in Leipzig to discuss topics related to plasma technology. After a welcome by the director of IOM, Prof. André Anders, and a short introduction of the institute, the latest news from the plasma community were reported. This was followed by the introduction of the new candidates for the PLASMA GERMANY committee. Among them was Dr. Martin Rudolph, research associate and head of the cross-sectional unit "Modelling and Simulation" at IOM, who was newly elected to the PLASMA GERMANY committee. Prof. Dr. Peter Awakowicz from the Ruhr University Bochum, who took over the "Scientific Chair" from Prof. André Anders at the last meeting, brought valuable expertise to the Forum with his contribution on "Plasma treatment of gases". The topic “Development of next-Generation plasma generators” was also presented and further trending topics were discussed in the expert network. In addition, the 19 participants used the platform for intensive professional exchange and networking.
