Fluorescent nanodiamonds are required for applications in quantum sensor technology (electromobility, chemical industry) and medicine (replacement of critical contrast agents, sensors for cell processes). The high production costs are to be reduced by 1-2 orders of magnitude through high-temperature irradiation and the quality improved. The aim of the project is to exploit the savings potential, explore possible fields of application and realise the transfer to industry.
