At this year's GRAVOnet event of the GRAVOmer network on 13 June 2024, the network partners and guests met at HTWK Leipzig. At the fair-like marketplace for innovation projects, the IOM working groups "Ion beam assisted structuring and smoothing" and "Laser based micro- and nanostructuring", among others, presented their work status and the results of the GRAVOmer innovation projects. This offered guests and students at HTWK Leipzig the opportunity to find out about and exchange information on the key technologies for producing innovative functional surfaces and the companies and research institutions behind them. Another highlight was the inauguration of the "MicroFLEX" coating system from 3D Micromac, a pilot system for prototype production Ob functional surfaces using the R2R process, which is part of the new "Smart Surfaces" competence centre and will also be available to GRAVOmer network.
