Lukas Paul Lingenfelder, research associate in the ‘Ion Beam Assisted Structuring and Smoothing’ group at the IOM, won the ‘Best Poster Award’ in the ‘Methods and Processes’ category for his poster at the 50th International Conference ‘Micro- and Nano Engineering MNE 2024’ in Montpellier. The MNE Conference is the premier event of the International Society for Micro- and Nanotechnology (iMNEs) and a leader in the fields of micro- and nano-fabrication, manufacturing techniques and applications for fabricated micro/nanostructures, devices and microsystems in the fields of electronics, photonics, energy, environment, chemistry and life sciences. This year, more than 550 researchers and experts from all over the world took part in the event to discuss the latest research findings and their applications. More than 400 scientific papers were presented. The aim of the conference is also to promote, integrate and train young talent in the field of micro- and nano engineering.
